June Leonardi was born and raised in New Jersey in a large Italian household.  Familiar at family gatherings was lots of singing, string instruments, accordions and percussion instruments played and shared by young and old.  After raising a family of four children in the Philadelphia suburbs, June’s focus on the art of music began later in life.  After overcoming personal trauma, music was used as a channel of recovery and self-discovery and has become an intimate part of her identity.

June began performing as a solo artist at The Grace Winery in Glen Mills where she was discovered by local music venues as well as where she met her duo partner, Chris Ursillo.  They share a love for harmony and songs rich in melody, where they incorporate bass, percussion and mandolin in their musical journey as a duo since 2016.

June continues to expand her musical career as a singer-songwriter and released her first original album in May of 2022 with a live performance at the Queen Theater in Wilmington DE to a standing room only crowd.  Her songs are heartfelt, deeply personal and span the americana and country genres with a flare of pop.  She continues to perform authentic and vibrant acoustic original and cover songs in the Greater Philadelphia area spanning the singer-songwriter, country, folk, rock, and pop musical genres inspired by artists she admires including Sheryl Crow, Patty Griffin, Norah Jones and Lori McKenna.  As a solo artist, or with her band, Almost June, she is known for her passionate and emotional approach to performing, her creative combination of vocal and guitar style and the ease with which she connects with her audience and fans.
